Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Workshop

Child-Parent Relationship Therapy Workshop

Facilitated by Zydet Short, LPC

Are you looking to strengthen your connection with your child while learning practical, research-based parenting tools? Our 10-week Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Workshop is designed to help parents and caregivers of children ages 3 to 8 years old build a deeper bond, reduce behavior challenges, and promote emotional growth—both for the child and the parent.

While the group is best suited for families with children in this age range, parents of children slightly younger or older have also found the workshop very beneficial.

What You’ll Gain:

  • A stronger, more connected relationship with your child

  • Tools to help your child learn self-control and emotional regulation

  • Effective, respectful discipline strategies that really work

  • A supportive group experience with other parents navigating similar challenges

Program Details:

  • Length: 10 weeks

  • Format: Weekly group sessions (1–1.5 hours each)

  • Location: Virtual or in-person, based on participant preference

  • Who Attends: Parents or caregivers only – children do not attend sessions

  • Weekly Commitment: In addition to the group, parents will commit to 30 minutes per week of one-on-one special playtime with their child, using play therapy techniques. Starting halfway through the course, parents will share a brief video clip of these sessions for reflection and group support.

  • Cost: $25 per session or covered by insurance (if eligible)

  • Open to: One or both parents/caregivers

This workshop is a safe, supportive space where parents grow in confidence, develop new skills, and create meaningful change in their family dynamics.

Ready to build a better relationship with your child?
