A counseling internship is a crutial part of a therapist's journal toward the final steps of graduation and applying for licensure. The Counseling Collective, PLLC is happy to begin a Counseling Internship Program to benefit our community. Sessions provided by our interns, offer clients an affordable way to receive services from individuals who are passionnate about learning, supervised on-site, and are well-versed in the most up-to-date with knowledge in the field.

Affordability
There are several reasons why choosing to see a Counseling Intern can be a wonderful option for those who are considering starting therapy and/or those are in search of a new provider. Counseling Interns are in training, this means their rates are often significantly lower than those of a licensed therapist. This means you can receive high-quality therapy at a fraction of the cost ($45 per session).
Passion for Learning
Another benefit of seeing a Counseling Intern is their fresh perspective and passion. Counseling Interns are on the pulse of the newest evidence-based practices, research, and techniques in the field and are passionnate about expanding their knowledge and experience. They tend to bring a sense of enthusiasm and curiosity to their sessions to meet your needs and help you to achieve your treatment goals.
Three Minds and Experience for the Price of One
At The Counseling Collective, PLLC, our Counseling Interns are supervised on-site by our Clinical Director and meet weekly for at least 1 hour (often times more time is spent on cases weekly). In addition to on-site supervision, Counseling Interns are under the supervision of their Counseling professor and are required to meet weekly to review cases and best practices. **Please note: All information shared in any supervision is confidential and all rules surrounding HIPAA are strictly followed.
In addition to having two Supervisors, Counseling Interns have full access to all off the contracted providers who work with The Counseling Collective, PLLC. Counseling Interns will meet monthly for Group Supervision with the entire team at The Counseling Collective, PLLC. This allows for HIPAA-compliant case consultation, access to additional resources, and feedback from other fully-licensed providers.
The Counseling Collective, PLLC is expanding and actively generating ways to positively impact our community. Offering counseling services at a fraction of the cost is an extremely effective way for anyone to receive services who may not have active insurance coverage, be out-of-network with the insurances we accept, or be otherise unable to take on the cost of counseling services.
